The immense impact Davy Graham had on the guitarists emerging form the British folk scene in the early days has long been acknowledged. Back in the sixties he was so far ahead of just about any would-be picker that it was practically miraculous.
He paved the way for so many big stars including Jimmy Page and Bert Jansch. So many people were completely knocked over by his playing, and many feel they owe him a huge debt. Having had encounters with Elizabeth Taylor – her having discovered him in the Paris Metro and inviting him to play at parties on the French Riviera – he then went on to discover North African Folk Music. A true legend.
Davy has played B&M and Admira Classical Guitars for many years. He even gives them a credit in his autobiography!
